Former Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen referred to the religious Zionist sector in a conversation with Roi Sharon (here 11) at the INSS conference held today (Wednesday)

“I think there is a phenomenon that Israeli politics today, the right… what is defined as religious Zionism – basically two currents lead it. One is the Hordeli current and the other is the extreme right and religious Zionism, if you can call it the more enlightened, more liberal, more moderate, has basically disappeared from the map the political,” Cohen said.

To the question why there are no voices in religious Zionism against the reform, he answered: “They hurt people because their opinions differ from what is expected of them. Politically, not professionally. And this thing, in my opinion, puts fear on people and puts them in a corner of unwillingness to confront.”
