by time news

KOBLENZ/LAHNSTEIN It’s been a few days… In 1992 the 153rd Panzer Battalion was disbanded. The professional and regular soldiers (*and conscripts) in the Fritsch barracks in Koblenz. They later set up a Facebook group for former battalion members. 200 members are represented in this community.

30 years have now passed since the Panzer Battalion was disbanded. Always a reason for a reunion to revive the old camaraderie and to exchange old memories. And that’s exactly what the former soldiers did on August 27 with their comrade Michael Kreuzer in Lahnstein. As the saying goes? There is always eating and drinking. At the end of the day there was a great result. The former soldiers can proudly look back on a donation of EUR 1,350.00 to the children’s hospice in Koblenz. This amount came together at the alumni reunion of the members of the 153rd Panzer Battalion. Applause! Will it be another 30 years before the next meeting? no That’s what the former soldiers told the BEN Kurier. There will be another celebration soon.

In addition, a delegation of former regular and professional soldiers would like to be present at the laying of the foundation stone for the new apartments in the former Fritsch barracks. Certainly a good reason to be able to indulge in good memories again.
