Forming a security emergency room in the southeast

The Minister of Interior of the Libyan government appointed by the House of Representatives, Major General Issam Abu Zariba, issued Resolution No. (203) of 2024 AD, “ordering the formation of a joint security emergency room in the southeast region.”

According to what was published by the Security Media Office of the Libyan Ministry of Interior, “The room consists of: the head of the criminal investigation agency (chairman), the commander of the Subul al-Salam battalion, the director of the General Administration of Central Support, the director of the General Administration of Desert Patrols, the head of the branch of the Directorates Support Service in the Eastern Region, and two security directors.” Al-Kufra, Rabianah and Tazarbo, the head of the Kufra branch of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Service, the directors of the Kufra branches of the General Intelligence Service and the Internal Security Service, and the director of the Libyan Red Crescent Society, Kufra branch.”

“The chamber’s tasks include administrative control within the city of Kufra, maintaining public order, tranquility and public health, and arresting wanted persons, especially those with criminal cases and smugglers.”

“This step aims to achieve security and stability in the southeast region, combat organized crime, and ensure the comfort and safety of citizens.”
