by time news

The first ‘Formula E’ car race in India will be held on Saturday (Feb 11) at the Street Circuit in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The 9th season of the international ABB FIA ‘Formula E’ car race was held in Mexico with the first round and the next two rounds in Saudi Arabia, while the 4th round will be held in Hyderabad. Famous car companies like Mahindra, Nissan, Porsche, Tata’s Jaguar, McLaren, Maserati are participating in this race. The race will be held first as a practice race, then as a qualifying race and finally as the main race.

2.83 km with 18 bends. Cars rush through the long Hyderabad Street Circuit. This circuit has a seating capacity of around 20,000 people to enjoy the race.

All the cars participating in this Formula E race are battery powered. This season, ‘Gen 3’ cars are used. These are 320 km per hour. Although they can reach speed, they often do not reach that speed as the races take place on a curvy circuit with not many long tracks.

Previous generations of cars used low-capacity batteries, requiring drivers to swap between races. But the current 3rd generation cars have 350 kilowatt batteries that can last for the entire race. They also have technology that harnesses energy for the batteries from that friction when applying the brakes during the race.
