Fort Lauderdale Shooting: Multiple Victims Injured at Apartment Complex

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Police in Broward County are investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday night at an apartment complex in Fort Lauderdale. The incident took place in the area of Northwest 19th Street and 29th Avenue, and multiple victims were involved.

Fort Lauderdale Police tweeted about the incident, stating that officers had responded to the area following reports of a shooting with multiple victims. According to authorities, a group of people was gathered in the courtyard of the apartment complex when they were confronted by another group.

A total of five individuals, including two juveniles, were rushed to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment. Sadly, one of the three adults sustained life-threatening injuries, as reported by the police.

A witness, who resides in the apartment complex, shared her account of the shooting with Local 10 News’ Bridgette Matter. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that she saw some of the victims, including juveniles, and even assisted one of them who had been shot in the leg. Expressing her fear and frustration, she expressed her desire to move, emphasizing the prevalence of shootings in the area that makes it unsafe for children to play outside.
