Ahead of Pongal, Ajith’s ‘Thunivu’ and Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ are releasing on January 11.
Generally, early morning screenings are usually held for films with lead roles. But with two big films coming on the same day, there was initially confusion about which film and at what time the special screenings would be held.
Now it has been reported that it has been resolved through negotiations. That is, it is said that it has been decided that ‘Thunivu’ film can be screened at 1:00 midnight and ‘Varisu’ film at 4:00 am as special screenings in theaters across Tamil Nadu. It is reported that they have discussed and decided to screen the scenes according to their choice from 8 am.
In single theaters, the theaters which have contracted to screen only ‘Thunivu’ as regular screenings will screen ‘Warisu’ at 4:00 am and the theaters which have contracted only ‘Warisu’ as regular screenings will screen ‘Thunivu’ at 1:00 am.
Not sure how this is going to work out. They say this arrangement is to avoid unnecessary conflicts.
