The study examined the drug ‘dostarlimab’, which showed promising results in patients with metastatic cancer. The patients took the drug for six months and then had to undergo the usual medical treatment, which included chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.

These treatments have severe side effects, some of which are long-lasting. At the end of the trial, and even after six months or more of follow-up, the patients did not need further treatment and all tests showed that the cancer had disappeared from their bodies.
