This Sunday, Maritime Rescue rescued four immigrants who were sailing in two inflatable toy boats through the waters of the Strait heading to the Cádiz coast.
Sources from the device have indicated to EFE that the Maritime Rescue coordination center in Tarifa has received several calls alerting of the presence of the first of them around 9:20 a.m.
At that moment, Salvamar Enif was mobilized and located the inflatable boats at 11:00 a.m., which ultimately turned out to be two.
Finally, the four immigrants traveling in them have been rescued, all of them adult males of Maghreb origin, and have been transferred to the port of Algeciras, where the social-health care device has been activated.
