After about eight months in space, American astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt and Jeanette Epps, as well as Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin, landed safely aboard a Crew Dragon capsule off the coast of Florida on Friday morning (3:30 a.m. local time). It took the crew thirty hours for the return flight.
The four astronauts have with them important research results from medical and biological experiments they carried out during their stay on board the ISS. The four astronauts blasted off to the ISS in early March. It was Epps’ first space flight, Grebenkin and Dominick were visiting the space station for the third time;
Hurricane Milton hit designated water landing zones with strong winds and rough seas. Even after the passage of the storm, which had the second highest category 3, the weather conditions remained so adverse that the US space agency had to postpone the return several times.
