Police forces raided a residential complex in the Jabal Jwar neighborhood in the Hebron sector, near Kiryat Arba, last night (Friday). This is after the suspicion grew that a wedding with the participation of gunmen was to take place at the scene and that gunfire would be used.

A few hours before the incident began, police forces from the Judea area, the Border Police dog unit, IDF forces from the Judea Brigade and saboteurs raided the incident site and two houses near the site.

During the search, four M-16 weapons, cartridges, bullets intended for M-16 ‘pistol bullets, two intentions, stun grenades and many weapon parts were seized. Two Palestinian suspects from Hebron were arrested for questioning. The investigation continues.

The commander of the Judea area, Deputy Superintendent Yossi Golan, said: “This perception prevented the potential for personal injury. I commend the forces for a quality and focused professional activity that led to the seizure of the weapons.
