Seven people are ready to manage the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) and submitted documents to participate in the competition for the election of a new general director, organized by the Electronic Media Council.
In the order in which the documents were submitted, they are the current boss Milen Mitev, the publicist of Radio “Fresh” Tsvetoslava Georgieva, Helia Chavdarova – editor and presenter in BNR, Margarit Rusev, who is also from the national radio, the journalist Iva Doichinova, who from January 2023 . is the program director of radio “Focus”, the former general director of BNR Valery Todorov and the editor-in-chief of the Internet portal of BNR Georgi Daskalov.
The deadline for submitting the documents expired today at 5 p.m.
CEM has already formed a technical committee that will consider the applications and by October 10 will announce the persons admitted to the competition.
By October 14, it will be clear which of them will appear at the hearing.
The CEM’s choice of who will govern the BNR for the next 3 years will be made on October 17. The mandate of the current General Director Milen Mitev expires on October 31.
