Four minors were arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct in Umm al-Fahm

Last night (Saturday), the Israeli police arrested four suspects in connection with last night’s riots that took place in Umm al-Fahm.

A march in support of al-Aqsa was held in the city and the police were organized accordingly and made the incident possible.

At the end of the procession, dozens of young men, some of them masked, descended on the entrance square to the city, beginning riots that included attempts to block the entrance to the city, firing fireworks, throwing stones at the forces and burning tires in the middle of the road.

Police detectives, YSM and Border Police fighters who were at the scene made arrests during which four minor suspects were arrested in connection with disturbances and they were taken for questioning at the police station.

The police stated that at the end of the investigation and in accordance with the evidence in the case, it will be decided whether to hold a hearing in the Haifa court on Saturday, with a request to extend their detention. Further arrests are also expected later.

The Israel Police stated that it would continue to act resolutely against the violators and vandalism and bring them to justice in order to maintain peace and public safety.
