Palakkad: The Kerala Police has identified four accused in the murder case of RSS activist Sreenivasan. The suspects were identified as Abdurahman, Feroz, Ummer and Abdul Qadir, both from Pattambi. However, police have not released further details about them. Police have identified a total of six accused in the murder of Srinivasan. The attackers reached Srinivasan’s shop in three two-wheelers. Srinivasan was attacked by people in the back seat of the vehicle. It was also found that one of the bikes used by the accused was registered in Tamil Nadu.

The police concluded that the conspiracy to kill Srinivasan took place near the Palakkad district hospital. The post-mortem of slain Popular Front activist Zubair took place at the district hospital. At that time, many Popular Front activists had gathered there. The accused in the Srinivasan murder case were also present at the hospital premises. Police identified them from CCTV footage. Police believe that the murder was committed by the accused from the hospital premises.

Meanwhile, the three accused arrested in the murder case of Popular Front activist Zubair will be produced in court on Wednesday. RSS workers Kallimulli Parukuttinivasil Ramesh (42), Menonpara Karimannu Edupukulam Arumughan (6-27) and Kallepulli Alampallam Kuruppathveetil Saravanan are being produced in court. The police team will file an application in the court on Wednesday to release them in custody.

The probe team had taken evidence from the three arrested accused yesterday. During a manhunt at Korayar Onnampuzha, the team found four swords hidden after the incident. Subsequently, at Melepokkamthodu on the border of Elappully panchayat, after the crime, the group went into hiding for three days and took evidence in the forest. Bloody clothes were also recovered from here. Police said evidence would be taken from the court after being taken into custody and at the scene of the violence.

Police have identified the arrested Ramesh as the mastermind behind Zubair’s murder. According to the police, the arrested trio were directly involved in the incident. Before he died, Sanjith had told his close friend Ramesh that Zubair would be responsible if anything happened to him. The ADGP said that this was Ramesh’s statement. After Sanjith was killed, Ramesh was waiting for an opportunity. Many were approached as helpers for accuracy but were evacuated. Later, Ramesh said, Saravanan and Arumughan volunteered to help.
