Four people were killed and 17 others were injured, as a result of the 7-magnitude earthquake Papua New Guinea yesterday destroyed 300 homes.

And the newspaper “Papua New Guinea Post Courier” quoted disaster relief officials who assessed the damage as saying today: that four people were killed and at least 17 people were injured in the earthquake that occurred at dawn yesterday, and material damage was caused in 23 villages around the epicenter, and the latest Deep cracks in the ground.

According to the US Geological Survey, the quake occurred at a depth of 62 kilometers below the Earth’s surface.

Yesterday, an earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale struck the island of Guinea in Papua New Guinea.
