The University Council today (Saturday) approved the promotion of four senior lecturers to the rank of professors, one from the Faculty of Medicine, two from the Faculty of Business Management and one from the Faculty of Science.
The monthly meeting of the University Council was held today under the chairmanship of Associate Professor C. Sirisarkunaraja.
The evaluation and interview results of the applicants for the post of Professor on the basis of merit in accordance with the University Grants Commission Circular Standards were presented at today’s meeting.
According to them, the senior lecturer in the Department of Community Medicine and Family Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine, Medical Specialist P. Dr. Kumarendran is a Professor in the Department of Community Medicine and Dr. N. Kengadharan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Business Management. He is a Professor in the Financial Management of Lingasia and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science. Srikaran has also been promoted to Professor of Chemistry.
