The IDF Shin Bet and MGB fighters operated tonight (Sunday) in a number of centers throughout the Judea and Samaria Division to arrest wanted persons, among others in Nablus, in Kabatieh in the Jenin district, in the villages of Al Muayir, Al Aida and Jabal Mawalah.
IDF soldiers together with a Givat patrol operated tonight in the Kasbah in Nablus under the direction of Modi’in Shin Bet intelligence. The forces acted against wanted armed persons suspected of involvement in terrorist activities. During the operation, an exchange of fire began between the armed forces and a vulnerability was detected, a number of terrorists were eliminated.
Weapons including weapons and guns were seized in one of the wanted apartments. During the activity, disturbances developed that included throwing stones, throwing explosives and gunmen shooting, the forces also used means to disperse demonstrations and shoot in front of the gunmen.
In addition, soldiers of the Dovdevan unit, the Nahal Patrol and the Security Forces operated in the village of Kavatia in the Menashe Regional Division and arrested two wanted persons suspected of involvement in terrorist activities. During the operation, the fighters fired at armed men who opened fire in the region.
A total of four wanted persons were arrested during the night. The wanted persons and the seized means of warfare were transferred for further investigation by the security forces. There are no casualties to our forces.
