Saint Joseph Giorgia Gioli has come out of a coma. The 14-year-old from San Giuseppe, a promising dancer, had gone into a coma last July after a car accident. The girl was riding a scooter with a friend, and the two collided with a car. The Comacchio girl immediately appeared to be in very serious condition and was taken by helicopter to the Niguarda hospital in Milan. The accident, in fact, did not occur in the province of Ferrara, but in Brugherio, in the province
of Monza Brianza. The happy news was given by her mother, Egle Bellotti, who had moved to Brugherio with her daughter to indulge her dreams of dance and her talent.
“At 6:30 pm on August 19, Giorgia is officially out of the coma! She responds to everything she is asked to do, she can sit up on her own without support, she even tried to stand up, she called me mom, when I asked her if she was in pain she said no and took the phone from my hands because she wanted to call her brother! I am truly exploding with joy and I will forever thank all the doctors and nurses at the Neuroresuscitation Unit of the Niguarda Hospital and especially all of you for not giving up on us for a moment with your prayers and constant closeness! I apologize for not always being able to respond to everyone! Now we are ready to start our new adventure in rehabilitation on Wednesday 21! With all my heart, a huge thank you!”, said her mother in a message on social media.
