In a draw held this Thursday (16), the São Paulo Football Federation defined the groups for the 2024 Paulista Championship. São Paulo was in Group D, alongside São Bernardo, Botafogo and Novorizontino.
As in previous editions, there will be no games between teams from the same group in the first phase. The two best placed in each group will face each other in the quarterfinals.
After the draw, the president of Tricolor, Julio Casares, spoke about expectations for the state dispute.
“Paulistão is a tournament of great competition, rivalry, revenue and audience. São Paulo, as always, will enter to compete. We will enter this championship with the same responsibility and the same determination”, he stated.
The 2024 Campeonato Paulista is scheduled to start on January 21st. In total, 16 teams are in contention.

Group B: Palmeiras, Água Santa, Guarani and Ponte Preta
Group C: Corinthians, Red Bull Bragantino, Mirassol and Inter de Limeira
