Chairman of the National Awakening Party (FPKB) Fraction of the Jakarta Special Region DPRD (DK) M. Fuadi Luthfi

jpnn.comJAKARTA – Chairman of the National Awakening Party (FPKB) Fraction of the Jakarta Special Region DPRD (DK) M. Fuadi Luthfi rejected the appointment of the elected Jakarta City Council (Dekot) for the 2024-2029 period by Acting. Governor DK Jakarta.

The reason is, he considers that the process of determining the selected regional council was carried out unilaterally and did not involve Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD which is in charge of government.

“We have come to a conclusion that the determination of the Dekot for the 2024-2029 period is procedurally flawed,” said Fuadi to media crew in Jakarta, Friday (27/12).

For this reason, Fuadi firmly requested that the determination of the elected City Council for the 2024-2029 period contained in the Decree of the Governor of the Special Region of Jakarta No. 854 of 2024, dated 23 December 2024, concerning the Determination of Members of the City Council/Regency Council for the 2024-2029 period be revised or reviewed. .

Fuadi further assessed that the process of determining the Dekot for the 2024-2029 period was carried out through the correct mechanism. In fact, the City Council selection process already has standard rules and regulations.

After going through the selection process at the city or mayor level, there should be further stages that must be carried out.

According to applicable regulations, the selection team then handed it over to the Acting Governor of Jakarta and then continued the process to the leadership of the DK Jakarta DPRD.

Fuadi said that after reaching the DPRD leadership, the Acting Governor should not immediately decide on the names.
