Tonight airs (11pm on Cine 34) “Fracchia the human beast”, a comedy directed in 1981 by Neri Parenti starring Paolo Villaggio in the double role of the employee Giandomenico Fracchia and a ruthless criminal. Fracchia an employee of a snack company, shy and victim of the jokes of his colleagues. He is repeatedly stopped by the authorities because he is identical to a terrible gangster nicknamed “The Human Beast”. To avoid yet another arrest Commissioner Auricchio (Lino Banfi) grants a special pass to Fracchia, but the news reaches the double. The latter occupies the employee’s house and takes possession of the pass. Fracchia ends up at the mercy of the gangster and forced to carry out criminal acts as well as to meet the terrible mother of the criminal (Gigi Reder), a former prostitute of Sicilian origins. Some finds are recycled from Fantozzi’s repertoire and the language is sometimes a bit too foul, but the film does not disappoint after many years.
