In France, the alert on nitazenes, new synthetic opioids, especially dangerous, and whose circulation is increasing, refers to the Ministry of Health and the National Medicines Safety Agency. The authorities have decided to include them in the list of toxic drugs, in view of the serious health risks, and in an area with the Olympic Games where “summer population movements will be very important in France”. The production, sale and use of nitazenes is prohibited from Tuesday, July 9.
