What if this hubbub of presidential guards, deposing the president they were supposed to protect, became a ground swell? And if the braided men who forcibly occupy the palaces of Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Niger, Gabon, a camarilla of uniforms sweeping away with the same gesture a quasi-monarchical dynasty (Ali Bongo) and democratically elected president (Bazoum), emulators? At the dawn of an “African summer”? If the theory is seductive, pleasing to the ear, easy to discuss for lazy experts, it does not correspond to the realities.
