After two consecutive defeats, the French team reassured themselves by winning 2-0 against Belgium on Monday, September 9, in Décines (Rhône). With an unprecedented lineup (Manu Koné, Mattéo Guendouzi, Lucas Digne), the Blues struggled to enter the match but weathered the storm before gaining momentum. Randal Kolo Muani, well-placed after a poorly deflected shot by the Belgian goalkeeper, opened the scoring (29th), his sixth goal with the national team.

Ousmane Dembélé doubled the lead with a powerful left-footed shot before the hour mark (57th). The entries of Bradley Barcola, Kylian Mbappé, followed by Michael Olise and Antoine Griezmann, brought additional danger, but did not allow for a third goal. The players of the French team earn their first three points in this Nations League and take second place in their group behind Italy.
