The country’s vice president France Marquezmarched in Cali on May 1 and on the stage of the central acts of the great concentration in El Obrero paid tribute to the front line and to the struggle of the unitary centrals that promoted the marches.

From there he asked for a “minute of applause for the working men and women” of the country and at the same time publicly expressed his admiration for the young people who made up the First Line in the midst of the 2019 National Strike.

“I am not afraid to say it here: long live the front line. These young people who were shot, others had their eyes gouged out and others have been imprisoned and here we tell you that we are with you and we do not forget about you”, assured the vice president.

Francia Márquez also pointed out that: “They told me, don’t forget about us and today I have to tell you here that the tax reform is aimed at prioritizing education for Colombian youth.”

“And of course we have had to stand up hard because we found corruption in education, in health, in every corner of the National Government institutions. Today I am happy to be handing over the lands that were expropriated to the drug traffickers to give them to the Colombian peasantry and I have to announce here in Cali that there are many houses that were expropriated and they were handing them over to whoever they shouldn’t,” he concluded.
