This rascal Pascal Obispo having grilled the Chant du Gros by announcing his presence two months ago already, we were impatiently awaiting the full program of the festival. It was unveiled Monday April 15.

For its 32nd edition which will be held from September 5 to 7, 2024 at Noirmont (JU), the event promises a slew of great firsts on its grounds, including Francis Cabrel, Hugo TSR, Biga*Ranx, Saez, the Berthollet sisters, Slimane, Archive or even Patrick Fiori. In total, 23 concerts mixing, as usual, styles and generations.

Thursday September 5, the Corsican group I Muvrini, Claudio Capéo and Francis Cabrel are expected. The arrival of the interpreter of “Petite Marie” has been awaited for thirty-two years at Noirmont. Also on the bill, the local rock rapper Sim’s, who will exclusively release his new album, the Parisian rapper Hugo TSR and Biga*Ranx, phenomenon of the French reggae scene.

Wind of revolt

“A wind of revolt will blow on Friday on the famous Noirmont field,” comment the organizers of Chant du Gros. Indeed, Ivorian singer Tiken Jah Fakoly and his uncompromising reggae are expected to raise awareness, while hip-hop legend JoeyStarr will perform “Pose ton gun” or “Ma Benz”. Saez will declaim his committed titles with powerful messages. Also on the bill on Friday, Bagarre, which mixes pop, rock, rap and club music, the rapper Niska and, of course, Pascal Obispo to celebrate his 30 years of career.

On Saturday September 7, 100% of the artists will perform for the first time at Chant du Gros. Namely, the legendary British group Archive, the two virtuoso sisters Camille and Julie Berthollet, Patrick Fiori and, finally, the tribute band Goldmen, who will bring back to life the magic of Jean-Jacques Goldman’s concerts.

Also on Saturday, Slimane will return from Eurovision in Malmö, where he represents France; Favé will present his first album, “It was necessary”; Soolking will boast 260 million views on YouTube for his track “Suavemente”; finally, the Celtic rockers of CelKilt will bring out guitars, bagpipes and violin.

Tickets and subscriptions are on sale from Wednesday April 17 (lcdg.ch). Please note that children aged 6 to 15 must now have a ticket (at the symbolic price of 2 francs). And, for the second year in a row, all people with a Chant du Gros subscription have the opportunity to go for free to the evening of Thursday, August 1, 2024 of the Estivale Open Air.
