Franciscus Gasthuis & Vlietland is committed to ‘care of generations’: for generations we have been providing valuable care to the inhabitants of our region. We provide this care in the hospital if necessary, and at the patient’s home if possible. We invest in training, innovation and scientific research. This way we can continue to give our care to the generations of today and those of the future!
Top clinical
In 2008, Franciscus Gasthuis & Vlietland joined the Association of Collaborating Top Clinical Training Hospitals (STZ). For patients, this means that they can come to our hospital for good basic care and services as well as for highly specialized and high-quality acute and complex care. The Top Clinical Care Register provides an overview of care recognized as top clinical, which is offered in the 27 top clinical teaching hospitals. We are proud of our six top clinical recognitions for highly specialized care for patients with:
· Asthma, COPD and respiratory allergy, in the Franciscus Asthma, COPD & Allergy Center.
· Breast Cancer as Integrated Breast Cancer Care Unit, in the Franciscus Breast Clinic.
· Chronic Mesenteric Ischemia in the Franciscus Gastrointestinal Ischemia Center
· IBD (inflammatory bowel disease), at the Franciscus IBD Centre.
· Obesity Center as Integrated Care Unit, in the Franciscus Obesity Center.
