Franco Tombathe father of the ski legend Alberto Tomba, passed away on Saturday. Although he always remained in the background, he played a crucial role in the world of winter sports. His great passion for sport and his important role in his son’s life Alberto distinguished him.
Flavio Rodathe president of the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI), recalled the close relationships he had with the family of the Bolognese champion, emphasizing their importance Franco Tomba for his son’s career.
