This is the meaning of the proposal by the deputy of rebellious France, François Ruffin, invited this Thursday morning on the set of Franceinfo: “I am the government, I bring together the student unions, I bring together the hotel unions and I say: I pays camping tips at all campsites on the coast. »

Faced with persistent recruitment tensions, the government launched on Wednesday a three-year plan 2023-2025 for seasonal workers, providing for training proposals, reinforced support during the off-season or even measures to facilitate housing. “We have a government that absolutely lacks pragmatism”, he criticized, formulating his proposal, “the Océane plan”, a “plan of frightening simplicity”.

François Ruffin thus suggests putting “opposite the need of hoteliers with the need of students”, that of a free campsite which “solves the housing problem”. “Another problem,” he explains, “is depression among French youth. We have to open up prospects”.

The deputy of the Somme abounds: “Why the Picards from my home should stay in Picardy? Why wouldn’t they have the right to go and see the Côte d’Azur? (…) You offer that and on the other side, there is a guarantee from hoteliers to say: I will pay 2,000 euros per month and they return in September to restart their studies with 4,000 euros in their pocket. »

The government wants to encourage the rental of university housing and empty school boarding schools in the summer: it is aiming for a target of 6,000 seasonal workers housed in this way by 2025. It also wants a thousand social housing units to benefit seasonal workers. , in addition to the 2,090 that have been earmarked for those under 30 for rental contracts of up to one year.

Similarly, the “mobility lease”, a short-term rental contract for furnished accommodation intended for students or people on professional mobility, will be “adapted to the constraints of seasonal workers”, specified the Ministry of Tourism, because it is “little used since its creation”.
