London: Frank Lampard is set to become the coach of English Premier League club Everton. The former Chelsea coach has signed a two – and – a – half year contract with Everton, according to various English media reports.

Coach Rafa Benitez has been sacked by Everton. Under Benitez, the team has won just one of its last 13 matches. With this, Duncan made Ferguson the interim coach. Everton are currently 15th in the league.

Lampard, a former Chelsea coach, was sacked by the club a year ago following poor form. Lampard had not coached any club for a year.

Everton coach Frank Lampard’s first match will be against Brentford in the FA Cup on Saturday. Newcastle then play United in the Premier League.
