Fashion Week in Frankfurt opened with a show at a particularly iconic location in the city.
The Frankfurt Fashion Week 2022 started on Sunday with a fashion show in the trading hall of the stock exchange. The fashion fair lasts until June 26th, the opening show with the Frankfurt fashion designer René Storck formed the prelude on Sunday.
According to the organizer, the choice of location symbolizes the “unique combination of financial center and fashion metropolis” in Frankfurt.
More than 100 events are planned until next Sunday. This includes fashion shows by young and already established designers from the Rhine-Main area. The focus should be on the issue of sustainability. At the same time, the Fair Fashion Days are held, which do not deal with chic styles but with everyday work in the textile industry.
The fashion fair Premium announced earlier this year that it was returning from Frankfurt to Berlin. It only moved to the Main metropolis in 2020, but due to the corona it was never held there as planned. It has not yet been decided whether the Frankfurt Fashion Week will be held once or regularly.
