The Diamond League continued today (Wednesday) in Monaco with particularly amazing results. In one of them Shelley Ann Frazier Price, one of the greatest runners of all time, stopped the clock at 10.62 seconds in the 100 m.
This is the fourth best result of all time. Fraser Price ran 100m this week in 10.67 seconds and 10.66 seconds. The 35-year-old Jamaican won Olympic gold at this distance in 2008 and 2012, and the World Championships in 2009, 2013, 2015, 2019 and 2022.
At the same time, Noah Lyles impressed in the 200 m. The world champion ran the distance in 19.46 seconds, the ninth best result in history, shortly after the world championship. Faith Kipchoga set the second fastest result in history in 1,500 m with 3:50.37 minutes.
Yonatan Kapitolnik finished in ninth place in the high jump with a result of 2.20 m, the only distance he covered. The promising Israeli passed the 2.2 in the third jump and failed to pass the 2.30 m, in the event in which the Qatari Moetaz won the lead. At the same time, Edva Cohen from Maccabi Tel Aviv finished in 11th place in the 3,000m steeplechase. Cohen crossed the finish line with a result of 9:42.71 minutes.
