jpnn.com – JAKARTA – Fredik Sawefkoy has canceled his candidacy to accompany Yanni in the 2024 Sarmi Regent Election. Fredik stated that his choice had been conveyed to Yanni who will run as a prospective candidate for regent of Sarmi, Papua.
“I have directly conveyed my resignation to Mrs. Yanni as a form of etiquette and respect, so that the brotherhood can continue to exist even though we are no longer a candidate pair in the regional elections,” said Fredik in Jakarta, Saturday (3/8).
Fredik gave the reason for canceling his candidacy after reflecting and deciding to continue his service as a civil servant in Sarmi Regency.
“My service in ASN is still 12 years, then I was just promoted as Head of the Fisheries and Marine Service. I think I have to fulfill this part first because it is a mandate from God through the country,” he said.
Fredik is grateful that Yanni has given him valuable experience by introducing him to the world of politics.
Therefore, he expressed his gratitude to Yanni and the team as well as the religious figures who provided support.
Fredik also apologized for disappointing a number of parties who supported him.
He emphasized that he was ready to give his life and soul to serve Sarmi, including if Yanni was elected.
