Madurai: On the occasion of Diwali in Madurai, a free rice distribution ceremony was held by the Environmental Charity Center.
Abhayam Trust founder Indrapati presided. Auditor Ramanujam distributed rice and gift items to 100 beneficiaries. Center President S.V. Pati said, ‘GST of 18 percent has been imposed on essential health products, which has affected the health sector. “We should exempt from GST,” he said.
Secretary Ganesan, Bank Manager Prabhakaran, Professor Mahadevan participated.
