Thiruvananthapuram | Serious allegations in the FIR filed against Father Theodosius D’Cruz in connection with the Vizhinjam strike. According to the FIR, Theodesias’ remarks against Minister V Abdur Rahman were aimed at communal polarization and riots.
The police had registered a case against Father Theodesias D’Cruz for making communal remarks. The Vizhinjam police registered a case on a complaint filed by the INL state committee. Theodosias, who is also the convener of the strike committee, said that there is terrorism in the name of the minister.
The priest and the Latin Archdiocese came forward to express regret for the communal remark. The archdiocese has clarified that it is withdrawing the remark that arose out of emotional turmoil.
Convener of the struggle committee, Father Theodisius, said the remark was tongue-in-cheek. It regrets that the statement has caused a rift between the communities. The Archdiocese also asked for an end to the issue in the event of regret.
