Free train travel and return tickets; Italian town to pay tourists there

by time news

Friuli Venezia Giulia is the northeasternmost region of Italy. From mild oceanic in the south to alpine continental in the north, a wide variety of climates and topography are found throughout the region. Alps mountains, vast pine forests and pastures, mountain lakes and numerous streams and small rivers are some of the things that make this region so beautiful. There are many famous tourist spots in this area like Monte Zoncolan, Tarvisio, Sella Nevia, Forni di Sopra, Piancavallo. It is also famous for its delicious wine.

The administration is planning new projects to give new life to the tourism sector here. As part of that, the authorities are planning to prepare a scheme to pay the tourists who come here.

As part of the scheme, visitors will have the opportunity to travel by train across the country without paying, the administration has confirmed. A separate card will be provided to train passengers. With this card, visitors can get free entry to museums, free public transport and discounts at other places. According to the report, all tourists will be eligible to travel on state-run Trenitalia trains and high-speed Frese lines, from regular regional lines to intercity lines.

Those who book a package of two nights get all the discounts and benefits. When booking a two-night package, the charge for the return ticket will be deducted from the total cost.

Unlike the Friuli Venezia Giulia, the authorities have previously confirmed that from January 1, 2023, all travelers wishing to visit Venice, Italy’s other major city, will be charged an entrance fee. Italy’s tourism revenue this summer will reach around 17 billion euros, according to a report by Comformercio, the retailer’s association. Most visitors to Italy come from the United States.
