The Chief Minister N. Rangasamy distributed free vegetable seed packages for the autumn season in Puduvai.
Every year in the months of Adi, vegetable seeds for setting up vegetable terrace gardens are provided free of charge by the Department of Agriculture. This year vegetable package worth Rs.200 is provided free to the public.
Puducherry Legislative Assembly Office Chief Minister N. Rangasamy launched the free vegetable seed package to the public on Monday.
Minister of Agriculture Thanee C. Jayakumar, Director of Agriculture Department B. Balakanti, Additional Director (Horticulture) Sivaraman, Deputy Director of Agriculture NK Shanmugavelu and farmers were present. Public can approach the Horticulture Department and get vegetable seed packages.
