Free visa to visit Oman for those coming to watch the World Cup in Qatar

Muscat: Those coming to watch the FIFA World Cup football matches to be held in Qatar will also have the opportunity to visit Oman. Officials said that Haya card holders to watch the World Cup will be granted visas to enter Oman online or at the country’s borders, including the airport. The Saudi authorities have already announced that those who come to the World Cup will be allowed to visit Saudi Arabia. The UAE authorities have also announced that multiple entry visas will be issued to football fans coming to Qatar.

Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism made a new announcement for football fans at a press conference on Wednesday. Oman is announcing a series of special projects in support of Qatar’s efforts to host the World Cup, officials said. There will be a shuttle flight service from Muscat to Old Doha Airport. The economy class ticket price for this service will be 99 Omani Rials.

Special gates will be set up at Muscat International Airport for World Cup fans only. Other modes of transport including buses will also be arranged for them. The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of Oman has informed that the FIFA Village will be set up at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center and the details of this will be announced soon.
