A freedom fighter rally has been called in Dhaka to protest against the derogatory statements about the liberation war and brave freedom fighters. The rally will be held at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 3 pm on Thursday.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque made this announcement at a press conference at the National Press Club on Wednesday (July 17).
In the press conference, the former shipping minister Bir Muktijoddha Shajahan Khan MP said that under the cover of the anti-quota movement, the Muktijoddha will be held at 3 pm on Thursday at 3 p.m. in order to resist the attack on the spirit of the liberation war and to prevent murder, vandalism, anarchy, arson by uniting the pro-independence people from all walks of life. Under the initiative of Labor-Employee-Professional Coordinating Council, a rally will be held at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram Mosque of brave freedom fighters, children of freedom fighters, workers, employees, professionals, intellectuals and people with the spirit of liberation war.
Minister of Liberation War Affairs Ministry of Liberation War A.M. Mozammel Haque will be present as the chief guest, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and other freedom fighters and labor leaders will be present as honored guests.
He urged everyone to attend the rally irrespective of party affiliation.
