French footballer Benjamin Mendy seems to see the end of the tunnel. The 28-year-old French footballer has just been found not guilty of the charges of two women, one for rape, the other for attempt. Earlier this year, a popular jury had already found him not guilty on six counts of rape and one of sexual assault, but failed to agree on the two remaining charges, after 67 hours of deliberations.

Benjamin Mendy “impatiently awaits being cleared of the other two counts so that he can begin to rebuild his life,” said one of his lawyers after the verdict.
