INTERVIEW. Cécile Kohler has been imprisoned in Tehran for nine months along with her companion, Jacques Paris. His sister Noémie is sounding the alarm.

LTheir ordeal has been going on for more than nine months. Arrived in Iran on April 28 as part of a tourist stay, Cécile Kohler, a 38-year-old associate professor of modern letters, and her companion Jacques Paris, a 69-year-old retired teacher, were arrested by the intelligence services. Iranians on May 7 as they prepared to leave the country. Accused of espionage, the two French nationals, also active in the teaching branch of Force Ouvrière (FNEC), have since been detained in the fatal Evin prison in Tehran. On October 6, the couple appeared in a video where they confessed, probably under duress, to being a member of the DGSE.
