One of the French national team stars is considering retiring from international football after the end of the French team’s journey in the European Nations Championship (Euro 2024).
The French team was eliminated from the competition in the semi-finals after losing to its Spanish counterpart (2-1).
According to the French newspaper “L’Equipe”, Benjamin Pavard, the right-back for Inter Milan and the French national team, is considering leaving the national team and retiring from international football.
She explained that the Inter player remained on the bench throughout the Euro competition, and did not get a single minute of play under the leadership of Didier Deschamps, the coach of Les Bleus.
The newspaper highlighted the bitterness that Pavard is experiencing, especially since he was one of the main players in Inter last season, only to become a substitute player in France.
On the other hand, the newspaper said that a number of French national team players are also considering retirement, such as Kingsley Coman and Antoine Griezmann.
