DECRYPTION – A recent study shows that adults who have had a moderate form of Covid generally see their symptoms disappear during the year following infection.
Their number was estimated at 2.06 million in France last summer by Public Health France. 4% of the adult French population then suffered from Covid long, this disorder with blurred contours, characterized by a constellation of variable geometry of symptoms persisting at least three months after infection with Sars-CoV-2. Although better and better known (and recognized), this pathology retains shadows, sources of anxiety for people whose lives are turned upside down by the resulting disability. But the hindsight we have, three years after the appearance of the virus, makes it possible to affirm that, in the majority of cases, the symptoms of long Covid have faded in one year.
