For the fifth consecutive day, protesters have gathered in more than forty points throughout the country, blocking the circulation of thousands of vehicles heading to different departments. According to the General Directorate of Road Protection and Safety (Provial), as of 7:40 a.m., 43 blockades were reported, with some locations in the Capital City already registering traffic interruption.

Yesterday, the Constitutional Court (CC) granted provisional protection to the Coordinating Committee of Agricultural, Commercial, Industrial and Financial Associations (CACIF), with which the authorities are ordered to release road blockades, although the business sector clarified that said measure was filed since September.
Furthermore, the business sector reiterated that the population has the right to demonstrate, since it is a legitimate means of citizen expression; However, it must be exercised without carrying out blockades on public roads that affect the access to medical, educational and commercial services of the Guatemalan population.
