On the occasion of the presentation of the 17th Children’s Friends Tournament the US Aldini Bariviera, in collaboration with Ai.Bi., awarded the 2021 prizes:
Amico dei Bambini, the evening with Ivan Zazzaroni and Barbara D’Urso
The evening, which took place in the Sala Orlando of Palazzo Castiglioni in Corso Venezia 47 in Milan, was conducted by Ivan Zazzaronidirector of the Corriere dello Sport-Stadio, e Barbara D’Ursowell-known showgirl and TV presenter, with the participation of Giusy Meloni, host of Sportitalia. In front of an audience made up of professionals, journalists and children, they collected the award in their respective categories:

Friends of Children Tournament, the charitable purpose of the tournament: #Bambinixlapace
During the event, the charity purpose of the tournament was illustrated, the proceeds of which will go to the Ai.Bi Association campaign. – Children’s Friends: # CHILDRENxLAPACE. Following the news of the entry of Russian troops into Ukrainian territory, Ai.Bi. immediately took action to bring its help to the children and families of Ukraine, where it has been operating since 1999. In addition to helping and assisting the children welcomed in institutions in Ukraine, Ai.Bi. is participating in the setting up of some refugee camps (with finding food, water, clothes, blankets and basic necessities, psychological support and play activities) in neighboring Moldova, where it has also been present for over 16 years.
Marco Griffini – President of Ai.Bi. Children’s friends in fact he underlined that: “In moments like the ones we are experiencing today, I can’t help but think continuously of all those little girls and boys, girls and boys, who don’t even have the comfort of a family. The comfort of a reassuring voice like that of a father, or the sweet caress of a mother, capable of removing anguish and fear from the heart, even if only for a moment. I believe it is our duty, at this moment, to make all these children and young people feel that we, fathers, mothers and families, are by their side. That we will not abandon them and that hope, this yes, never dies! It is for them that we launched the #BAMBINIxLAPACE campaign: an emergency and solidarity initiative, aimed at children welcomed in institutions in Ukraine, families fleeing the war who have found protection in refugee camps in Moldovia and the children and families we will welcome here in Italy. We are small, the challenge is great, but with the help of those who support us I am convinced that we will succeed! To better understand the situation I would like to bring you the testimony of one of our cooperators a Kiev, Masha Shkraba who committed herself, immediately, concretely, to the weakest as for years ago: “I am completely against war; a tool that doesn’t make any sense. Never! Because in war there are no winners, there are only those who lose. I am sure: I will never fight! I won’t even do it to defend myself, because there is no point in killing someone to defend yourself. “
After Griffini took the floor Massimiliano BorsaniPresident ofUS Aldini Bariviera: “Welcome back, last year for obvious reasons we had to give up organizing this evening. However, we did not give up, on the contrary we began to think about what to do for 2022, with the hope that the new year would give us a bit of normality and here we are. This edition is very special for us. On February 20, one of the pillars of our club passed away, Pierluigi Frosio. He joined our family 14 years ago and in a short time he conquered everyone with his professionalism, kindness, humility and his values that have always distinguished him in sport and in life. I would like to dedicate this edition to him, to him and to the Ukrainian people. As Griffini pointed out, as soon as Russia invaded Ukraine we immediately decided to do something for the Ukrainian people and to donate the proceeds of the tournament to the project. # CHILDRENxLAPACE. We could not and cannot remain indifferent to this tragedy, for this reason I invite everyone to participate in the Children’s Friends Tournament”.

Reserved for category Beginners 2009the tournament will take place from 6 April to 5 June 2022 at the Aldini sports center, in Milan in via Felice Orsini 78/84, and will feature 36 professional and amateur teams. Among the registered companies stand out AC Milan, FC Internazionale Milano, Hellas Verona FC and Torino FC.
