FRMB: dissolution of the national technical directorate and freezing of all activities (press release)
Rabat – The Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation (FRMB) decided, during an emergency meeting held on Saturday, to dissolve the National Technical Directorate (DTN), including the executives in charge of the national teams and to freeze all its activities until the holding of the ordinary general assembly, scheduled for next September.
“Following the poor results achieved at the Tokyo Olympics which were below expectations, the federal office held an emergency meeting, at the call of the president of the FRMB, devoted to examining the causes which led to this unexpected failure,” indicates a press release from the federal body.
“By virtue of the prerogatives conferred on it by article 24 of the FRMB statutes, it was decided, after an in-depth debate and with the approval of the members of the federal office, to dissolve the DTN, including all the executives in charge of the national teams and to freeze all activities, until the holding of the ordinary general meeting scheduled for next September,” the same source continued.
The noble Moroccan art came out empty-handed from the Tokyo edition, after the elimination of the six boxers who were in the running, namely Mohamed Hammout (less than 57 kg), Mohammed Assaghir (75-81 kg), Abdelhaq Nadir (57-63 kg), Rabab Cheddar (51 kg), Youness Baalla (81-91 kg) and Oumaima Bel Habib (69 kg).
