Froggy – Music – Achla Hanania: the singer Hanan Ben Ari conquers the stages

by time news

Hanan Ben Ari’s winter concert tour has almost come to an end, after he has already performed in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem, but we all know – Hanan Ben Ari is here for a long time to come. With songs that we all recite, a team of musicians who know how to give a show and one singer who sweeps the audience behind him.

The performance at Romema Haifa Hall began at exactly 9:37 PM, with Hanan Ben Ari’s apology for the slight delay and a promise that it was going to be the best performance he could give. Spoiler for the end, he completely kept his word.

The first song that opened the show was “Wikipedia” with Hanan on the piano, which got the audience into the rhythm. Immediately after him the song “Shemesh”, with which he already went on stage. There he was awaited by the team of musicians who completely added to the atmosphere, with an emphasis on the saxophonist and the trumpeter who momentarily stopped raging with their crazy energy and stole the show many times. With music that conquers and crosses ages, genders and beliefs, the audience could not contain itself and stood on the thrones.

Ben Ari sang all his hits from the last few years, among them “Ella Bi”, “Shemesh”, “What do you want from me”, “Dreaming like Yosef”, “From Mech to Eli” his first single that caused him to break through, “Our lives are strawberries” which was written Inspired by his daughter and the song “Hananya” which received roars from the audience.

Among the performances, he talked about the tour that took place recently in the USA, about the language crisis and his and the musicians’ shared desire to practice English through songs from the 80s that didn’t quite work out, especially when they went through passport control. Next time, we wouldn’t recommend choosing the song “Barbie Girl” for practicing the English language.

Just before the end, Hanan performed with us a guided imagination about home and families and especially about the dreams we all want to fulfill and are afraid will be denied to us. It seems that this moment caused many of us and me to have difficulty holding back the tears, especially after he sang the song “Amen to the Children”. With the song “World Champion” he chose to end the show, after one hour and forty-five minutes.

In conclusion, there are few Israeli artists who manage to maintain a rhythm throughout the performance and continuous cooperation on the part of those present. Another proof of the deep and strong bond between Ben Ari and the audience. Last tour? Maybe only for the next month… With sold out shows and successful songs, Hanan Ben Ari is here to stay. See you at the next show!
