Froggy – music – with a sold out performance: Tamir Greenberg proved that he is the Israeli Freddie Mercury

by time news

Tamir Greenberg appeared last night (Thursday) at Live Park in Rishon Lezion, and actually came full circle on the stage of the place where he was announced as the winner of “The Next Star” last year. The performance, which was announced as sold out, gave us some insights about the singer who became a sensation already on the show and has since released hit after hit.

More on Froggy’s music channel:

Although the performance started about 40 minutes late, this was quickly forgotten in view of the singing star’s captivating stage charisma. Greenberg did not stop communicating with the audience and excited them throughout the evening.

This is a performance that was planned as a sit-down performance, but the audience could not remain indifferent and people stood up one by one, and due to their excitement they disturbed other people a bit, which also gave rise to minor complaints about the issue and a search for ushers (who were not present nearby).

And back to the artistic part – it’s fun to see singers who know how to hold an entire show live with crazy vocals and a huge and captivating performance. Something about Tamir Greenberg sweeps us away and also takes us back in time to a sex vibe of the early 70’s that corresponds with the present, a different kind of evening that we haven’t experienced in a long time.

Greenberg, who was perceived as someone who does not like to share and be interviewed, was more open on stage, and even in the third song he shared with the audience that it was written about how dangerous success can be. In general, Tamir’s stories throughout the evening were interesting and added to the connection with him, if it is when he told that he returned to Israel two years ago and a little bit and in general he had a return ticket for two months later and that he never used it. It was at the height of the corona virus and the period was very confusing for him as well. What he did was go back to the piano and write some of the songs we heard on the Live Park stage.

And not alone – Tamir hosted in the unforgettable evening several strong and especially beloved singers who call the reality show in which Peretz broke out. First was Valerie Hamati (who came second after him in the program), together they performed their immortal duet to ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘All I Ask’.

The second was the winner of “The Next Star 2018” and Eurovision, Neta Barzilai. Together they performed a strong and excellent remix of Greenberg’s huge hit – ‘Better’, ‘Zero Effort’ and ‘Don’t You Worry Bout A Thing’. All this combined with Netta’s famous looper that added another boost to their moments together on stage.

The last guest on the program was the judge, and the one who won herself somewhere at the beginning of the millennium, Ninet Taib. The successful singer, who has already shared a stage with him before, performed Queen Beyoncé’s ‘Naughty Girl’ and the legendary Joe Cocker’s ‘With a little help from my friend’ together with the star of the evening. The connection between Greenberg and Teve is simply madness! These two must release an official duet urgently.

Throughout the evening Tamir presented the best of his talents and abilities and especially his impressive playing abilities on the piano, there were moments in the last three songs of the show, and forgive us for the expression, that because of the connection and emotion we really felt that he was making love with the audience, which is crazy! Pierre? Although we weren’t surprised by all the abilities, it was fun to actually witness before our eyes the never-ending charisma of the star on stage, his ability to hold a show and the official stamp that proved – Tamir Greenberg is the Israeli Freddie Mercury, and he completely does not forget where he comes from.
