From Argentina to the Zócalo of Mexico City: Fito Páez will give a free concert

Once again the Mexico City Government surprises us, this time bringing to Plinth capital, to the Argentine singer-songwriter Fito Paez.

Through the official X account (formerly Twitter), the Mexico City Governmentannounced his next free concert by the Ministry of Cultureon the esplanade of the Plinth, Well, it’s about the renowned Argentine singer-songwriter Fito Paez.

This will take place next Saturday September 7 at 8:00 p.m.

Similarly, through a press conference, the head of Government of Mexico City, Marti Batres announced the presentation of Fito.

The head of the capital’s Culture Secretariat, Argel Gómez Concheiro, highlighted that Fito Páez is an artist who has greatly influenced Latin American and Mexican rock.

“Of course we are very pleased that Fito Páez will be performing for free at the Zócalo in Mexico City on September 7,” said Gómez Concheiro.

Batres concluded that with Páez’s concert at the Zócalo, where various renowned artists have performed, the brotherhood with Latin American culture and with rock in Spanish is reaffirmed.

For his part, Fito Páez shared the publication on his X account.

After the free presentation, he will give two more dates in the country, with Mexico City and Guadalajara as the venues.

  • September 21 – National Auditorium in CDMX

Fito Paez received the international award Master Of Latin Music awarded by the Berklee College of Music, making him the first rock musician from Latin America to receive it. The tribute took place on June 9, 2015 in Boston.

In addition to being the recipient of multiple awards Grammy, Latin Grammy, Heat Latin Music Awards, Konex Awards and Carlos Gardel Awards.
