San Salvador. Through the Ministry of Labor’s Labor Migration program, another contingent of Salvadoran workers will travel to Canada, announced Labor Minister Rolando Castro.

This Thursday, a segment of this new contingent left to work legally. There are more than 50 people who will work in the areas of agriculture, poultry production, food processing, customer service, cooking, construction and gardening, the official explained.

With this, there are already six contingents of workers who travel outside the country in the year and constitutes the second of the month of May. “We have a whole team that is working very hard, in order to guarantee that these procedures are expedited and change the lives of our people, with decent jobs, very good salaries,” said the official.

He also explained that the members of the new contingent come from the departments of Ahuachapán, Cabañas, Chalatenango, Cuscatlán, La Libertad, Morazán, San Salvador, Santa Ana, Sonsonate and Usulután, which is benefiting people throughout the territory.

Each compatriot travels with legal status and will enjoy all the legal benefits that said country offers in labor matters and their contracts are for up to three years with very good salaries.

“When they travel outside the country they are our labor ambassadors, they must put the name of El Salvador up high. When a good job is done, the door is left open so that more compatriots can be traveling legally, ”he reminded Minister Castro at the time of his farewell.

The Labor Migration program executed by the Ministry of Labor is one of the various government commitments to favor the population, with legal, safe and dignified options to work outside the country.
