San Salvador. The legal reforms approved as an opinion by the Political Commission, to reduce the 262 municipalities 44, also represent a reduction of members of the municipal councils from more than three thousand to 460.

In the plenary session of this Tuesday, June 13, the reform will be approved, with which the political division of El Salvador is modified, which had been built at the convenience of the interests of the economic power groups, according to the current authorities.

In the last session of the Political Commission held on Monday, June 12, its members approved by majority to make changes to the geographic distribution of the new municipalities in San Salvador.
